Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD)

In July 1998, Total became the first oil company to manufacture and distribute ULSD to year 2005 cleaner fuel specifications. ULSD is better and cleaner as it reduces sulphur emissions by up to 90% and cuts emissions of fine particulate matter.

Visible smoke and diesel's characteristic odour are reduced and the fuel allows the future introduction of advanced diesel emission control systems.

Autogas Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)

The use of Autogas dramatically reduces the emission of particulates and harmful hydrocarbons. Autogas vehicles typically achieve around 33% cost savings against diesel, or 40% against petrol, as a result of the lower level of government duty.

Premium Unleaded

This is our most popular type of petrol, and is further evidence of TOTAL's commitment to cleaner, greener fuels. Our Premium Unleaded petrol contains a new reduced sulphur content, which is less than 50 parts per million. This green fuel meets the European Fuel Directive Requirement for the 1st January 2005.

Super Unleaded

This premium quality product is designed meet the requirement of our selective motorist customers. It is intended for those high performance vehicles that will benefit from a higher octane, low sulphur fuel.

Lead Replacement Petrol (LRP)

LRP is made to the same octane as the leaded four star petrol that it replaced and also contains anti-wear additive to protect your car's engine.

Many cars using LRP could in fact use the unleaded fuels available from TOTAL. All cars manufactured for the UK after October 1989 were built with the capability to run on unleaded fuel.
